Death Announcement: Josphat Mbugua of Atlanta, Georgia

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God's will that we announce the promotion to glory of Josphat Mbugua, who was missing and was unfortunately found deceased on February 4th, 2026. 

He is survived by his wife, Irene; his two daughters, Elaine and Caroline; and his two granddaughters, Briana and Sydney. Josphat was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all. He constantly went above and beyond to assist despite the need. He was well loved and respected by his community, and his family’s wish is to give him the send-off he deserves in Kenya, surrounded by his loved ones.  

As his passing was unexpected, the transport to send him home and funeral arrangements have brought significant and unforeseen expenses. We are therefore seeking to raise funds to help cover these costs and to give Josphat, who was a beautiful person inside and out, the beautiful send-off he truly deserves.
