Canada Calls on Immigrants to Submit Permanent Residency Applications
IRCC has issued 1,000 invitations to Canadian Experience Class candidates in the latest Express Entry draw, setting a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 531.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada conducted the draw on 26 November at 11:59:05 UTC, applying a tie-breaking rule dated 8 October 2025 to rank candidates with identical scores. This round, numbered 381, brings the total number of invitations issued to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applicants in 2025 to 24,850.
The CEC stream is designed for skilled workers who have gained at least one year of paid, full-time or equivalent part-time skilled work experience in Canada within the previous three years. Applicants must have held a valid temporary resident status during this period.
Work performed without proper authorisation, completed outside Canada, or undertaken as unpaid or voluntary activity does not qualify. Alongside the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Federal Skilled Trades Program, the CEC forms part of the Express Entry system.
Candidates create an online profile and are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System, which assesses factors such as age, education, work experience, and language proficiency. Only those with scores at or above the cut-off receive invitations in scheduled draws.
The CRS distribution as of 24 November 2025 shows a competitive pool, with scores shifting as new candidates enter and older profiles expire. Many applicants seek to improve their standing by enhancing language results or gaining additional work experience.
The results of the November draw indicate continued emphasis on selecting candidates with established Canadian work experience. A cut-off score of 531 reflects strong competition within the pool and provides prospective applicants with a clear benchmark for future draws.
