Kalonzo Musyoka Begins Washington Visit with Diaspora Meetings
Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has arrived in Washington, DC, to attend the 74th National Prayer Breakfast and hold meetings with Kenyan diaspora groups and international partners.
Kalonzo landed at Dulles International Airport on 4 February, where he was received by members of the Kenyan community living in the United States. The welcome highlighted the continuing role of Kenyans abroad in national affairs, particularly through remittances, civic engagement and advocacy.
Speaking after his arrival, Kalonzo said his visit would focus on faith, leadership and national values. He noted that the programme included participation in the National Prayer Breakfast and discussions with diaspora representatives and other partners on issues of leadership and nationhood.
He is accompanied by Kathiani Member of Parliament and Deputy Minority Leader Robert Mbui, as well as Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo. The delegation is expected to engage in a range of discussions beyond ceremonial events, including exchanges on governance and institutional leadership.
The National Prayer Breakfast is an annual gathering in Washington that brings together political leaders, faith representatives and civil society actors from different countries.
