Ngunyi Tells Kenyans to Give Ruto a Chance
Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi is calling on Kenyans to give President William Ruto an opportunity to serve them.
According to Ngunyi, Ruto's leadership skills are still in the process of maturing since there is no specific training for the presidency. To support his claim, Ngunyi highlights the recent decline in prices for crucial commodities such as maize flour and fuel, which he sees as a reflection of Ruto's advancement. Ngunyi encourages individuals to have faith in Ruto, Stressing that Ruto is a President-in-formation.
Ngunyi's comments are in reaction to the recent drop in fuel prices declared by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority. It is important to highlight that Ngunyi, who had previously voiced disapproval towards Ruto, now backs the president and his decisions. In a prior declaration, Ngunyi disregarded those advocating for Ruto's dismissal, asserting that the presidency represents the pinnacle of leadership that Ruto can achieve.
The political analyst stresses that the President's possibilities for development are boundless. According to the ex-technical advisor to retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, critics should allow Ruto the opportunity to discover his equilibrium.
"Ruto must go. Go where? This is as low as he can go. From here, he can only go up. And "UP" he will go. There is no school for Presidency. You learn on the job. And if the first year is not bumpy, you are not learning. Give him a chance," says Ngunyi.
Ngunyi is also urging Kenyans hailing from the Mt Kenya region to extend their kindness towards President William Ruto. He posits that the Kikuyu community may find themselves distanced from the political epicentre for an extended period if they fail to offer their unwavering support to President Ruto.
