Former TV Presenter Kimani Mbugua Appeals for Help, Says He is Homeless
Former TV presenter Kimani Mbugua has reached out to his fans and supporters for help as he claims to be homeless.
The 27-year-old, who was once known for his youthful approach to news, suffered from bipolar disorder in 2021 which led to the downfall of his media career. He says lost many friends along the way and most people are no longer willing to help him. Kimani spent 54 days in a mental hospital last year and his parents did everything they could to help him recover, including taking him to various rehab centers and hospitals.
“Hi guys, Kimani Mbugua here former star of TV. It feels so bad to say that right now because I am not there anymore. But niko kwa shida, and I need your help,” Kimani said on the video.
During his plea on Saturday evening, Kimani shared his experience with depression which he has been dealing with since his university days. He also disclosed that experimenting with marijuana during the peak of his success led to the emergence of psychosis. Kimani further expressed his desire to find a business partner who can assist with funding his business ideas. He admitted to not owning a phone and had to borrow one from a bystander just to upload his video on social media.
Upon being discharged from the hospital last week, Kimani declared that his mental state felt restored. He also stated that he has no desire to return to his previous residence. In a video, he acknowledges that he is homeless, mentioning that the people who previously housed him have requested that he find alternative arrangements.
“If you are interested in the business idea, or if you want to host me. I need a laptop and Wi-Fi and if you can do that please help me,” he said.
