Cabinet Secretary Bore Vacates Controversial Karen Home

Martin Olage Jun 21, 2023

Labour Cabinet Secretary Florence Bore has reportedly vacated the controversial Karen home on Monday. On Wednesday,. A press visit to the house revealed that it was indeed empty.

On Tuesday,  Amara Manco Villa, the alleged property manager, gave the CS a 24-hour ultimatum to vacate the property. A statement presented by Edwin Dande, the Amara Manco representative and treasurer, confirmed that they had received a grievance from the owner of Villa 6.

"The Villa is currently being occupied without authorisation and we should proceed to withhold all services to the Villa, including access. Pursuant to a homeowners meeting held on June 19, 2023, it was resolved that you provide the management company with either the executed sale agreement or executed lease agreement or any legal documentation that granted you access to the Villa 6," he said.

He informed that, according to the documents, the Villa owner stated that he had not given any access to Bore. He further mentioned that if they do not supply the necessary data, they will be compelled to cut off all services. However, the CS had not yet responded to the letter addressed to her at the time of going to press.

On Sunday, the CS proclaimed in a statement that she had arrived at a contractual agreement with a firm associated with Gatanga Member of Parliament Edward Muriu to purchase the house at an agreed purchase price. According to the CS, Muriu Mungai & Company, representing the vendor, verified the receipt of the signed agreement for sale by stamping on the forwarding letter by her lawyers.
