President Ruto has traveled to Uganda to attend the country’s 60th Independence Day celebrations set for Sunday.

The president left the country on Saturday afternoon in the company of First Lady Rachel Ruto, State House said in a statement posted on social media.

“President @WilliamsRuto has travelled to Kampala, Uganda, to attend the country’s 60th Independence Day celebrations. The President left Saturday afternoon,” read the statement.

Ruto was seen off by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Cabinet Secretary nominee Alfred Mutua at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
