American Man Robbed of Sh3.8 Million, Macbook Pro and IPad by His Kenyan Girlfriend
A Kenyan woman has been arraigned in court for allegedly stealing money and other items from her American boyfriend.
Judy Onchiri is accused of robbing Kevin Michael Queen together with her brother Wilson Momanyi and cousin Harun Moranga at their house in Nairobi’s Lang’ata area on December 3rd, 2020.
Michael told Kibera resident magistrate William Tule that the three stole Sh3.8 million, a Macbook Pro worth Sh440,400, Ipad valued at Sh230,879, and perfume worth Sh113,843.
The American national had visited Judy, who was staying with her brother Wilson Momanyi. A few hours later, the woman picked a quarrel with Michael and kicked him out of the house.
The man pleaded with Judy to allow him to take his belongings but she refused. He sought the help of police officers who tried to convince Judy and her brother to return the valuables but their efforts were futile.
Judy’s cousin Moranga arrived and asked the officers to allow him to handle the situation but they did not surrender the items to Michael.
Later, Michael checked CCTV cameras and found out that Judy had opened the door to three men who took his valuables. Police recovered the items in Lang’ata but did not find the money.
The three denied the charges and were released on a Sh300,000 bond each.
