PS Kibicho Takes Action After Sonko Claimed They Planned Chaos in 2017 to Frame ODM
Interior Principal Secretary, Dr. Karanja Kibicho has taken action after impeached Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko claimed that he planned chaos in 2017.
On Monday, Kibicho recorded a statement at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Nairobi over the allegations.
Speaking on Sunday, Sonko alleged that he was part of a team led by PS Kibicho that planned chaos in 2017 to paint ODM supporters in a bad light.
He claimed that during ODM demonstrations in 2017, he and Kibicho printed ODM t-shirts and purchased cars from showrooms, and later burnt them on Ngong Road to frame the protesters.
"I want to confess this, in 2017 during the ODM demonstrations, me, Kibicho, and another deep state we printed ODM t-shirts, bought second-hand cars from showrooms, and went to burn them in Ngong' Road so that people think it's ODM," Sonko claimed.
Sonko made the allegations when he accompanied Deputy President William Ruto on his tour in Dagoretti South Constituency on Sunday.
He admitted to having previously worked with the 'system' and 'deep state' in what he termed as "spinner campaigns".
“Mimi nimefanya kazi na deep state…nimefanya kazi na system ya mheshimiwa Uhuru Kenyatta. Sai tumeona deep state na system wameanza kuchoma magari isemekane ni ma-hustler wanachoma magari,” said Sonko.
