Akorino Pastor Who Allegedly Defiled and Impregnated His Two Teen Daughters Arrested

A Kirinyaga pastor accused of defiling and impregnating two of his teenage daughters has finally been arrested.

John Gichuki who went into hiding last month was nabbed by police in his hideout in Mbeere South, Embu County on Saturday.

It is alleged that he raped his 16-year-old daughter who fell pregnant and gave birth to a child who is seven months old now.

The 45-year-old cleric also sexually abused and impregnated his other daughter aged 14 years. The girl is presently five months pregnant.

“The suspect was arrested in his hide-out in Mbeere South, Embu county after he switched on his phone,” Ndia Deputy County Commissioner Moses Ivuto said.

Gichuki hails from Kathaka village in Ndia Constituency and serves as a pastor in a local Akorino church.

He went underground mid last month after his sister-in-law Nancy Wambura Muriithi reported the matter at Sagana police station.

“He has been threatening his wife against reporting his misdeeds sparking fear in his family. I want justice for my sister’s family,” Wambura said.

The suspect is being held at Sagana police station pending arraignment in court on Monday.

Both the girls were last month taken to Sagana Sub-County Hospital where they underwent medical check-ups.
