Hustlers will Form Kenya’s Next Government, Ruto Says

John Wanjohi Jan 01, 2021

Deputy President William Ruto has expressed confidence that he will be the leader of Kenya’s next government.

Speaking during the homecoming ceremony of newly elected Msambweni MP Feisal Abdallah, Ruto maintained that hustlers will form the next government.

He pointed out that the ‘hustler movement’ is spreading like wildfire and has taken over the coast region which was previously an ODM stronghold.

Ruto described Feisal, who won the seat on an independent ticket after defeating ODM candidate Omar Boga, as the hustler movement’s “first-born.”

“The people of Msambweni refused to bow to pressure and threats, but instead went ahead to vote for the influential Mr. Bader. He has no known political background, but he managed to beat the ODM candidate. This is a new record that shows that regardless of where one comes from, he/ she can ascend to a leadership position,” said Ruto.

Ruto lashed out at ODM leader Raila Odinga accusing him of propagating politics of hatred and tribalism, adding that the country will only be transformed through visionary leadership.

During the ceremony, Ruto welcomed former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura to the movement.

The two declared their support for Ruto’s 2022 State House bid, saying he will rescue the country from the yoke of ‘dynasties.’
