Peter Kenneth Throws His Support Behind President Uhuru

John Wanjohi Jun 29, 2020

Former presidential aspirant Peter Kenneth has thrown his support behind President Kenyatta.

Kenneth vowed to work with Kenyatta to help him fulfill his promises to Kenyans ahead of 2022 when his current and final term will expire.

“It is impossible for the President to work with people who insult him. For the remaining part of his term, he needs people who support him to help him complete his development work,” Kenneth said.

"I am ready to help the president for the remaining two years and when he retires, the people of Mt Kenya being the largest population in the country must be on the negotiation table."

Kenneth spoke on Friday at Mabae Primary School in Gatanga, Muranga during a water project inspection tour organized by Water Principal Secretary Joseph Wairagu.

He also expressed his support for Uhuru-Raila handshake and the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), saying the move has achieved peace in the country.

“This is why I support the Building Bridges Initiative and after it is passed, we will sit down with the president and decide how to move forward,” Kenneth added.

Kenneth was flanked by MPs Nduati Ngugi (Gatanga), Peter Kimari (Mathioya), and Gichuki Mugambi (Othaya) among other Mt. Kenya leaders.
