US Ambassador Kyle McCarter Gets Stuck in the Elevator in Nairobi, Kenyans React
The United States Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter excited online users after he posted a photo on Twitter claiming he got stuck in an elevator.
In the tweet, Ambassador McCarter said he got trapped in the lift as he went to a function for the launch of the Kenya Population-Based HIV Impact Assessment (KenHIA) on Thursday.
"Believe it or not I got stuck in an elevator just before giving a speech announcing good news of HIV success in Kenya,” he wrote.
"Never happened to me before but now I have a story to tell. The lesson is always taking the stairs at a health event. Just makes sense!"
The tweet was accompanied by a photo showing McCarter taking a selfie in the elevator that appears crowded.
Here is how Kenyans online reacted to McCarter’s tweet.
@GkJameson said: But that elevator looks unhealthy overcrowded. To which Ambassador McCarter replied: “But none of us were overweight. All trim and healthy. Lol.”
@thewildcapital tweeted: “Balozi, you are over broadcasting our inadequacies sir! Cheza chini...😂.” In response McCarter noted: “It could happen to anyone. Anywhere.”
@BenedictMuduvi said: “Balozi, this is what makes Kenya magical! You are certainly a Kenyan!’
@kamau07 noted: “This one will never go back to US.”
