‘3 Million Eggs Daily,’ MP Explains How DP William Ruto 'Earns His Millions'
Jubilee Nominated MP David Ole Sankok has outlined what he claims is the source of Deputy President William Ruto’s massive wealth.
Sankok, who was responding to ODM leader Raila Odinga’s questions about the source of millions Ruto often dishes out in public, stated the deputy president’s money is hard-earned.
“Which individual can have such money? You are bringing crowds and crowds of people each and every day slaughtering chicken and paying for their transport and giving them petty cash, what is the source of such cash?” wondered Raila in a recent interview with Citizen TV.
Taking to Facebook, MP Sankok explained that DP Ruto earns millions of shillings from his investments in various sectors including farming, hospitality, insurance, media as well as his salary as Deputy President. Sankok, who was nominated to Parliament to represent people living with disabilities, noted that Ruto earns billions from avocado business and that his wife (Rachel Ruto) produces and sells three million eggs daily from their poultry farm.
“He export avocado’s fetching him billions. He gets millions from his hotels. He gets millions from his insurance firm. He gets millions as the salary of DP. He gets millions from his shares of media. His wife sells 3 million eggs daily. His farming business and estates give him millions,” wrote Sankok, an ally of Ruto.
“Raila also gets billions from his father's gas and molasses business, but; My friend William doesn't drink, My friend William is workaholic, My friend William is generous. But; My grandfather Raila is party after party.”
“My friend William earns millions and saves millions and that is what he shares with his people,” he noted.
At the same time, Sankok slammed Odinga for suggesting that DP Ruto should step down to allow for an investigation into his the source of his wealth.
“I have a right of reply to him who thinks others do not equally deserve to be leaders in our country, I listened to Raila Odinga castigating our Deputy President Dr William Somoei Ruto. I listened to him carefully mentioning the Deputy President on national television in one sentence with BBI as if Dr. Ruto were twins with BBI. Was BBI about Ruto or Kenyans?” he posed.
