Raila is Confused and Needs Divine Intervention, DP William Ruto Says
Deputy President William Ruto has vowed to stop Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga’s bid to wreck Jubilee Party ahead of 2022 elections.
Speaking in Embu on Saturday, Ruto alleged that Odinga was working hard to break the governing party in an attempt to boost his bid for the presidency in 2022.
Ruto, who was in Embu to launch Kabachi and Runyenjes Technical Training Institutes among other projects, insisted that Jubilee was intact under the leadership of President Kenyatta and attempts to rock it would fail.
“I want to tell my friends who are waiting for the collapse of the Jubilee Party so that they can benefit that they better look for something else to do; our party is united and focused on its development agenda,” said Ruto.
He added: “Do not interfere with our party plans. We have our Party Leader, who is President Uhuru Kenyatta. Jubilee has its own agenda for Kenyans and they should leave us alone.”
He accused Odinga of using the handshake deal with Uhuru to sow seeds of discord and division within Jubilee in a scheme to win the presidency.
"Huyu mtu wa vitandawili [Odinga] is trying to destroy Jubilee, thinking that by doing so he will ascend to power. I want to tell him that Jubilee is built on a strong foundation and he will not succeed in bringing it down," said DP Ruto.
"Odinga should sort out the mess in his party instead of intruding into Jubilee which is focusing on development. It is ridiculous that he is teaching us how to manage our party affairs when his ODM house is in a crisis," he added.
He further termed Odinga as a confused leader who needs prayers.
"I think Kenyans should seek divine intervention for Odinga so that he can stop behaving in a funny way."
