Lupita Nyong'o Attends Her Grandmother's Burial in Kisumu

Kenyan-Mexican Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o on Friday attended the burial of her grandmother Dorcas Owino.

Ms. Owino was interred at her matrimonial home in Rata, Seme in Kisumu County in a ceremony attended by among others, President Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

The Oscar Award winner jetted into the country mid this week for the burial of Ms. Owino, who is the mother to Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o.

The nonagenarian passed away at her Nairobi home on May 28th, aged 98.
