I will Bring Governor Mike Sonko Down, Nairobi Woman Rep. Esther Passaris Declares

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has declared war on Governor Mike Sonko. 

Speaking at the annual Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (Kippra) conference in Mombasa, Passaris vowed to bring Sonko down for tarnishing her image through false allegations.

"I am going to bring down Sonko because it is ridiculous that we have such a governor in Nairobi," she said.

Passaris dismissed those warning her against engaging Governor Sonko, adding that she is ready to take him on. 
 
"I have been cautioned by some people that I should not revenge because the governor might ruin my reputation further. I want to assure you I will not relent in my quest until I bring him down," vowed Passaris.

The two leaders have traded words following their fallout on Madaraka Day celebrations early this month.

Sonko accused Passaris of trying to extort Sh300 million from him and luring him to her room at the Nairobi's Intercontinental Hotel despite knowing he is a married man.

On the other hand, Passaris accused Sonko of telling lies in a bid to taint her reputation.

“I waive all rights to privacy. I would love that hotel where I stayed to access my private data, show when I stayed there. I will not let this go. It is disgraceful and degrading. For me, I am not letting this go. This is the last time somebody questions my integrity with falsehoods,” said Passaris.
