You'd Commit Suicide If You Knew What I Own, Waititu Tells Haters as He Brags of His Massive Wealth [VIDEO]
Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has once again defended himself against accusations of illegally amassing wealth.
While addressing journalists in his office on Wednesday, Waititu accused his political rivals of envying him over how he has managed to amass massive wealth, which he says he got through hard work.
Waititu, who refers himself as Babayao, has dismissed claims of siphoning money from the Kiambu county government coffers.
He has further claims that he acquired most of his wealth before joining politics through contracts in the construction industry.
He claims he was involved in the building of most of the roads and estates in Nairobi's Eastlands area.
Waititu brags that he became rich before he became a politician, saying he already owned a Mercedes Benz and a Range Rover even before he was first elected councilor.
He has challenged his detractors to work hard and acquire the wealth they desire rather than trying to bring him down by peddling false allegations.
“People should stop being jealous. When you hear someone has his own building, one should look for theirs. When someone is being elected for any seat they are not poor; they have their own plans and I had mine," he states.
"My first building in Nairobi is not 20 years and if I took some of my critics to Nairobi they would kill themselves after seeing what I own," he adds.
