Police Arrest Four Suspects Linked to a Series of Burglaries in Kilimani, Kileleshwa Estates
Police have arrested four suspects in connection with a series of burglaries in Nairobi's Kilimani and Kileleshwa estates.
The four men have been arrested in Kihoto area, Ruiru on Monday morning after police officers trailed them from a robbery scene in Kileleshwa.
“A car that they have been using in the robberies was also recovered alongside several other household goods,” police say in a statement.
The four suspects have been identified as Alex Nderi alias Ade, Peter Kaari alias Pinches/Walker, Lawrence Alusala alias Nico and Veronica Kamau alias Veroh.
The four suspects will be arraigned in court to face various charges including robbery with violence.
The arrests come a week after CCTV footage of a sole burglar nicknamed 'Spiderman' emerged.
The footage shows the burglar carrying a backpack scaling from one floor to another.
On February 10th, the well-built man was captured on CCTV at 12:52 am jumping over the fences of different residential apartments in Kilimani.
He is said to have stolen millions of shillings after breaking into a safe in one of the apartments on that night.
The owner of the apartment is reported to have suffered shock and was rushed to the hospital after learning that the money was missing.
On this year's Valentine's Day, a foreigner reported that his safe was broken into and his loaded firearm stolen.
Another victim said she found her door open when she woke up in the morning and her laptop, as well as other valuables, had been stolen.
