Former Vice President Kijana Wamalwa's Daughter Sues CS Eugene Wamalwa as Tussle for Family Estate Escalates

The tussle for former Kenya Vice President the late Michael Kijana Wamalwa's estate has taken a fresh twist after his last born daughter moved to court.

Michelle Wamalwa has gone to court seeking restraining orders against 12 extended family members including Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.

Michelle says that she has taken the action after receiving numerous death threats from anonymous persons, whom she suspects have been sent by her relatives.

She also says her Derek Duke Mboya has also received similar phone calls over the inheritance of their late father.

Michelle and Derek are children of the late Yvonne Wamalwa, who passed away last year.

The two accuse CS Wamalwa of colluding with their relatives in a bid to dethrone them from their father’s multi-million-shilling estate.

So serious is the fight that Michelle, 18, has not attended school for more than a year due to lack of tuition fees.

“The death of both my parents has rendered me an orphan…I have been out of school for almost one year since my late mother passed away, as I am yet to be provided my beneficial share in my late parents' estates,” she said in separate court documents.

Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV last week, CS Wamalwa dismissed the allegations by his brother's children as fake news.
