14 Riverside Attack: Videos of Heavily Armed Gunmen Storming DusitD2 Complex Emerge

CCTV footage showing how heavily armed terrorists stormed dusitD2 complex on 14 Riverside Drive in Nairobi's Westlands area have emerged online.

CCTV cameras manning the complex perimeter show that the gunmen were heavily armed and dressed in combat gear.

They arrived in two cars, one of them left outside and the second one detonated in the parking lot.

One of the attackers has been clearly captured by the cameras.

An operation by security officers drawn from various teams including the elite Recce Squad and Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) is still ongoing.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i says security teams have retaken control of the 14 Riverside Drive complex even as he assured that the country is safe.

“We have secured all buildings that had been affected by this event. The security teams have evacuated scores of Kenyans and other nationalities from the buildings."

“We are now in the final stages of mopping up the area and securing evidence and documents in consequences of these unfortunate events,” says Matiang'i.
