Jubilee Party is Dead, Make Alternative Plans; Senator Isaac Mwaura Tells DP William Ruto

Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura claims that the March 9th handshake between President Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga was the beginning of Jubilee party's death.

Mwaura has compared the ruling party to a tent that was supported by two poles; President Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.

However, the outspoken politician says a camel (handshake) barged into the tent, tearing it into two; Ruto’s #TeamTangaTanga and #Teamkieleweke, which is anti-Ruto.

Mwaura has advised Ruto to make alternative plans early enough because the die has been cast.

"This was a come we stay relationship that culminated into a one-night stand election. It wasn't a marriage after all," says Mwaura.

Mwaura’s analogy comes in the wake of former Jubilee vice-chairperson David Murathe’s sentiments that the Kikuyu community does not owe Ruto any votes in the 2022 election.

Murathe has since resigned from his post citing his quest to block Ruto from running for President in 2022.

“I now find that it is no longer tenable to stay on as the party vice-chairman, given that I will have to sit in the same National Executive Council with a man I am taking to court to block from running for president,” Murathe said on Sunday.
