Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a Nairobi woman suspected to have stolen from a man after drugging him.

Everline Wambui Mutura is said to have met the victim, Patrick Mwaura Kungu, at a bar in Nairobi's Parklands area before luring him to a restaurant in Ngara estate.

"He went to a hotel located within Parklands area and started having drinks at the counter. Aside was a lady who was also having her beer. A conversation started and within sometime they had engaged themselves a lot," a police report said.

The two left the drinking joint for Ngara where the woman claimed to have ordered a meal be prepared for her at the unidentified restaurant.

After taking meat at the eatery, Mwaura fell unconscious, only to find himself dumped along Uhuru Highway with his crucial documents including an ATM card and ID missing.

"The lady then requested Kungu to escort her to Ngara where she had ordered meat. He agreed and boarded the ladys' car. When they arrived in Ngara they ate the cooked meat and had a beer each. From that point Patrick Mwaura Kungu became unconscious only to find himself on on Tuesday, October 9th, at around noon along Uhuru Highway," the statement further read.

The suspect was found with Kungu's ATM card and national ID when she was arrested. Police Sh136,529 had already been withdrawn from the account.
