President Uhuru Kenyatta's 45-Member 'Legacy Team' Unveiled

John Wanjohi Oct 04, 2018

The newly recruited Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU) team has been unveiled following completion of an induction program.

State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita said the 45-member team will begin its official duties which include working together with various teams in the ministries to ensure government projects are actualized.

“It’s a delivery team whose main purpose is to track and report on progress of the Administration’s key projects and programs as well as coordinate dissemination of public information on the status of those key projects,” Waita said.

Notable members of the team include former Royal Media Services Managing Editor Nixon Ng’ang’a, former Citizen TV business journalist Mumbi Warui and Laban Onserio, a former business reporter at NTV.

Others are former NEMA Board member Patrick Ngatia, former Kasipul Kapondo MP Silvanus Onyango, politician Michael Rotich and former Buuri MP Boniface Kinoti.

The team will also work with County Commissioners as they track the delivery of President Kenyatta's legacy projects at the county level.

PDU is a centre of government functions based in the Office The President and was established in 2015. The group will work closely with State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena who was appointed to the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) in June.
