Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria Promises to Deliver 1.6 Millions Votes from Kiambu to DP William Ruto in 2022
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has promised to deliver 1.6 million votes from Kiambu County to Deputy President William Ruto during the 2022 presidential elections.
Speaking when he accompanied Ruto to Kiambu on Friday, Kuria vowed to rally Mt Kenya region behind the Deputy President's 2022 presidential bid.
"In 2013, everybody wanted to work with Uhuru. ODM leader Raila Odinga wanted to work with Uhuru, Kalonzo Musyoka {Wiper} and Musalia Mudavadi {ANC} wanted to work with him, even Ruto wanted to work with him," he said.
"Na Raila akaambia Uhuru tufanye kazi na wewe, ili wewe ukuwe mdogo wangu na mimi nikuwe mkubwa wako. Mudavadi akamwaambia wewe ukuwe deputy niwe president, Kalonzo akamwaambia wacha nikuwe president wewe ukuwe deputy.."
"Its only one person who did not give Uhuru the conditions for working together. And that was Ruto. You can wipe away everything on this earth but not history. History is stubborn."
The MP said Ruto has shown nothing but loyalty to President Uhuru and expressed confidence that he will be Kenya's 5th president.
"In 2017, everyone else abandoned us but this young man (Ruto) stood with our president. Can we really forget him?"
"Last year we had election, in Kiambu county, we gave our beloved president 1.2 million votes. By 2022, the votes that will be here will be around 1.5 - 1.6 million. I assure you, we will give you 1.59 million votes and the remaining one vote we will give the kitendawili person (Raila)," he said.
