Raila is Behind Miguna Miguna's Woes, Says Mudavadi

Opposition leader Raila Odinga is behind the woes facing self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna, Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi claims.

In a statement dispatched to newsrooms, Mudavadi noted that the unity agreement between Odinga and President Kenyatta was the reason the State is mishandling Miguna.

“The tribulations befalling Miguna Miguna are self-inflicted and are caused by the ODM leader Raila Odinga,” Mudavadi said without elaborating further.

Mudavadi further said that Odinga is not the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, stating that he ceased to be one after boycotting October 26th repeat presidential elections without consulting him, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetang'ula.

Mudavadi added that Raila should simply be addressed as Nasa principal or co-principal.

“NASA doesn’t have the title of ‘NASA Leader’ in its salutations attributed to Hon. Raila Odinga by the media. The only honorary title shared by the party leaders of the four partner parties has been either NASA Principal or NASA Co-Principal,” said Mudavadi.

He also dared Raila-led Orange Democratic Movement to exit Nasa after its alliance with President Kenyatta's Jubilee party.

“NASA stated objective to constitute a democratic government and not dictatorship, ODM is in continued violation of the Political Parties Act.”

Miguna was kicked out of the country on Wednesday night, a day after arriving at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where he was denied entry.

He says he is currently stranded at the Dubai International Airport after resisting attempts to be flown to Canada via London. He maintains he will only agree to fly back to Nairobi.
