Kalonzo to President Uhuru: We Must Dialogue Now Or Else...
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has warned President Kenyatta that Jubilee and the opposition must dialogue now or later when the country will be in total conflict.
Speaking in Kitui West Constituency on Thursday, Kalonzo said the current political stalemate is a result of perennial electoral injustice that must be brought to an end soon.
“I really feel pained for my country. I do not want to make any other plea. I am only a leader who feels concerned by the status quo,” said Kalonzo.
Kalonzo said the country is headed for a difficult time, which can only be averted if the head of state agrees to engage National Super Alliance (Nasa) in dialogue.
“I don’t know why people are allergic to the truth. As it stands I can only pray that God helps Kenya,” said Kalonzo.
He further blasted Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko over the closure of Uhuru Park grounds ahead of Raila Odinga's inauguration ceremony set for January 30th, terming it as a blatant sabotage of the people’s right to assemble.
“The constitution gives every Kenyan the right to assemble. It is very unfortunate that a governor can frustrate a public gathering by smearing human waste on a public event’s venue,” said Kalonzo.
