No More Drama in My Life, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino Vows
Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili, better known as Babu Owino says he is a transformed man and will now focus on delivering to his constituents.
The controversial youthful MP, who has been involved in never-ending drama since being elected to office in August, 2017, said Kenyans should expect no more drama from him.
“It is a new year and I have decided to make some changes in my life. To some people I have always been the leader who reacts the most in different situations, some might even call me a drama queen,” he told Nairobi News.
A few weeks after his election, the former Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU) Chairperson allegedly made derogatory statements directed at President Kenyatta, which landed him in court.
He was also recently embroiled in fist-fight with his Starehe counterpart, Charles Kanyi Njagua alias Jaguar at Parliament buildings, after reportedly insulting President Kenyatta.
He is also facing charges of physically assaulting a voter at a polling station Embakasi East during the August voting.
“But I have decided that I have to now become the leader that the people of Embakasi East want me to be. To champion on matters affecting the youth of our country,” he said.
He said he is pondering becoming a motivational speaker, which is evident on his social media posts in the past few weeks.
Last week, Owino invited pastors from his constituency to his home, where he was prayed for.
