Kalonzo Musyoka Opens Up about His Wife's Health

John Wanjohi Nov 22, 2017

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed rumors that his wife, Pauline, who has been sick for the past few months, has passed on.

Speaking to Mbaitu Radio on Wednesday morning from Germany, the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader said his wife is alive and still receiving treatment.

Last week, a group of opposition leaders led by Bungoma senator Moses Wetang'ula, Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana and his Turkana counterpart Josphat Nanok visited Kalonzo in Germany, where he has been with his wife for the last one month as she receives specialised treatment.

This was the first time the former Vice President publicly spoke about the condition of his spouse.

Reports circulated on social media on Wednesday morning claimed that Pauline has passed away while receiving treatment at a hospital in Germany. Details of Mrs Musyoka's illness, however, remain scanty.

In a post on Twitter, Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo junior called on individuals spreading the rumors about Pauline's death to stop, noting that she's well.

"Those circulating rumors of the well being of Pauline Musyoka should stop. She is well and we should all pray for her quick recovery."
