Raila Has Sought the Services of Al Shabaab, MRC to Disrupt Elections, Moses Kuria Says

John Wanjohi Oct 23, 2017

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria now alleges that National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has sought the services of militia groups including Somalia-based terror group Al Shabaab and Mombasa Republican Council (MRC) to block the repeat presidential election scheduled for Thursday.

Addressing the media at Mutomo Catholic church in Gatundu on Sunday, Kuria claimed that they were aware that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had recently held a meeting with a number of militia groups to lay plans on how the poll will be prevented.

He said that Raila, together with Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and former Lagdera MP Farah Maalim planned how to wreck havoc on voters during the election in some parts of the country by attacking and causing violence.

“Raila Odinga, Ali Hassan Joho and Farah Maalim met the leadership of Al shabaab and Mombasa Republican Council to plot how they will disrupt the Thursday election,” Said Kuria.

The opposition coalition and its leaders led by Raila have insisted that there will be no elections on October 26th, although have not provided details on how they would achieve that.
