NASA Reveals Plan to Take Uhuru, Ruto to ICC
National Super Alliance (NASA) has revealed plans to take President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Speaking on Saturday during a burial of Raila's relative in Siaya, Siaya Senator James Orengo said that Nasa was making arrangements to take back the Jubilee duo to the Hague-based court.
"In fact, we are gathering evidence to take them to court the second time, but this time you will be dealt with perpendicularly by the international law," he stated.
Orengo also dared Jubilee to sue Raila at the ICC, saying that Nasa has a legal team capable of arguing a case in any court.
"If their {Jubilee} lawyers cannot win a case in Kenya's Supreme Court, what makes them they will defeat us at the ICC, " Orengo said amid cheers from the crowd.
Speaking at the ceremony NASA leader Raila Odinga, cautioned the government against deploying military in Nyanza during elections.
"We hear they are bringing a lot of military personnel; I want them to know Nyanza is in Kenya and they should not treat our people as foreigners,"Raila stated.
Central Organization of Trade Unions Secretary-General Francis Atwoli, who was present at the funeral urged President Uhuru and Raila to hold talks ahead of Thursday's election.
Last week, ICC confirmed receiving a petition in which two Kenyans are seeking investigations on Nasa leaders Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka for crimes against humanity.
