Face Me As a Man, Raila Tells President Uhuru

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to stop using police to kill innocent anti- Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) demonstrators.

Speaking during the burial of three victims shot during NASA weekly demonstrations against the IEBC in Bondo on Friday, the former Prime Minister instead asked the President to face him "as a man".

Raila said that the right to life is guaranteed in the constitution and no one has the power to kill Kenyans.

"Extrajudicial killings have no place whatsoever in ours or indeed any moral society."

Raila said the "repressive Jubilee regime has misused the armed forces in its attempt to quell dissent by patriots demanding a free and fair election. The culture of killing with impunity must come to an end."

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader said that Nasa will make sure that those behind the killings are brought to book.

"These deaths shall not have been in vain. Stop killing my people and direct your bullets to me. Face me as a man and leave out the innocent civilians," seemingly angry Odinga told President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He reiterated that the opposition will continue to push for free and fair election despite intimidation by Jubilee administration.

He maintained that no elections will be held on October 26th, and promised to issue a statement regarding the repeat election on Wednesday, next week.

"On Wednesday I will talk to Kenya and I will tell you what you should do ahead of the polls," Raila said when he addressed mourners at a funeral service in Bondo on Friday.
