Adulterous Kirinyaga Man's Genitals Chopped Off As He Slept

A Kirinyaga man believed to be in 40s is nursing serious injuries after his genitals were allegedly chopped off by his lover while he slept.

The middle-aged man is said to have sold his parcel of land, abandoned his wife and children and moved to the widow's house.

It is while sleeping that the widow severed the genitals of the man, who hails from Kang’aru village in Kirinyaga West sub-county after a reported drinking spree.

His parents said their son abandoned his family after getting Sh420,000 from a half-acre plot he sold. The widow from Thumaita village then befriended him and convinced him to move to her house where lived until last Sunday.

"My son left our home some time ago after he sold his inheritance land against our will as his parents and after hurling insults at us," his elderly parents said.

"We learned with dismay of the brutal assault on our son but since he is in such dire need of medication, we have forgiven him and we're ready to take him back home," his father said.

Speculation has it that the widow performed the Sunday night assault after the man failed to live up to the high standards of living he accustomed to her, as the cash from the land he sold has run out.

Area OCPD Cecily Gatititi said police have launched a hunt for the widow whose whereabouts remains unknown as she eloped after carrying out the the act.

The victim could not immediately get emergency operation due to the ongoing nurses' strike.
