Babu Owino Re-Arrested Moments after Being Freed on Bail
Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili, well known as Babu Owino has reportedly been re-arrested moments after a Nairobi Court released him on sh 500,000 cash bail.
Reports indicate that the youthful MP was once agains arrested outside the Milimani Law Courts under unclear circumstances.
Owino was first taken in on Monday and was on Tuesday charged with subversion and offensive conduct, as well as an alternative charge of incitement to violence.
The MP denied the three charges and was freed on Wednesday after the prosecution failed to table compelling reasons as to why he should remain in remand.
There has apparently been teargas lobbed outside the Milimani Courts where the ODM MP was appearing for his bail hearing.
Babu was arrested on Monday following his Sunday remarks at a National Super Alliance rally in Nairobi's Kawangware estate directed at President Uhuru Kenyatta.
