I Only Have Problems with Raila, Not Luos, Moses Kuria Says
Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria says he has never had problems with the Luo Community.
The controversial MP said that he only has issues with National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga. "I have been accused of hating the Luo community but that is not true; my only problem is with Mr Odinga," the MP said.
Kuria has been a staunch critic of the former Prime Minister and has on several ocassions been caught on the wrong side of the law for the attacks.
Two weeks ago, the MP was arrested and detained at Pangani Police station over remarks on the Orange Democratic Movement leader and his wife Ida, which were considered as hateful. He was arraigned before the Court and was released on bail.
Kuria was speaking in Kitengela, Kajiado County on Sunday where he lead a number of MPs in the Mbele Iko Sawa campaign team to drum support for President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection bid. Kuria and his team hit out at Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga over his "irreducible minimum" demands to IEBC regarding the repeat presidential election set for October 26th.
"If Raila is not ready he should write a letter to (IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati) to remove himself from the race so that we can swear in Uhuru Kenyatta," Ababu Namwamba, the Labour Party of Kenya leader, said.
