Kalonzo is a Burden to Kamba Community, Former Kitui Senator David Musila Says

Former Kitui Senator David Musila says that National Super Alliance Presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka is a political burden to the Kamba community.

Speaking at State House on Monday where he led a delegation of Kamba community leaders to a meeting with President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, Musila said the community had not benefited in any way from Musyoka’s long stay in government.

“Every five years he wants a higher seat. But it’s now too much. It’s now the wish of the Kamba people that we support the government,” Musila said.

“I’m bringing a lot of political experience with these leaders and commit all of it to you,” he told Kenyatta and his deputy.

Musila, who unsuccessfully contested for Kitui governor said the presidential repeat election ordered by the Supreme Court was an opportunity for the Kamba community to chart a different political course.

Governors Mike Sonko (Nairobi) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos) were among elected Kamba leaders present in the meeting.

Former Kaiti MP Gideon Ndambuki said Kambas have been in the political cold since 2013 and are ready to 'redeem themselves' by voting for Jubilee.

“Its time to redeem ourselves,” he declared.

Former Kilome MP Regina Ndambuki vowed to guard President Uhuru's votes in Ukambani whether systems work or not.

“Jubilee has launched development projects despite not getting votes in 2013. It’s our time to pay back,” she said.
