NASA Demands Access to IEBC Servers
Raila Odinga-led National Super Alliance (NASA) has demanded to be allowed to have access to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)'s servers to carry out an audit of presidential results received from the constituencies.
Speaking during a press briefing at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi shortly after a meeting with IEBC officials on Friday, NASA asked the electoral commission to permit them to their servers, if they are to concede defeat.
"If they open those servers & we all look at it, we're prepared to accept the results that are in those servers," Siaya senator James Orengo said.
"We've given an offer to IEBC that in order to bring this to an end we must be given access to their servers," He added.
"IEBC further made guarantees to look into issues that were raised by our technical committee,".
NASA also denied declaring Raila Odinga the winner of Tuesday's election. "We did not declare anyone (a winner) as it were. We merely stated facts," Chief Agent Musalia Mudavadi said.
"We've noticed some results coming in from non-gazetted polling stations, these've been made clear to IEBC," Mudavadi added.
