45 NASA MCAs Join Jubilee
Forty five Members of County Assembly (MCAs) from Kisii and Nyamira Counties have ditched National Super Alliance (NASA) to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party.
The leaders said that they will rally behind President Uhuru Kenyatta during the August 8 polls and vowed to ensure that he gets a lot of votes from the two regions in the upcoming polls.
Speaking while receiving the defectors to Jubilee party at Water Park Hotel in Kisii, Nairobi senator candidate and nominated MP Johnson Sakaja assured them that the party will take care of their interests, while exuding confidence that Jubilee will win next Month’s polls with a clear margin.
"Today is a big day because Jubilee has received a major boost ahead of the August polls," Sakaja said.
"I welcome all of you to the presidential campaign team," he told the defectors.
Led by Politician James Ogutu, the leaders cited President Uhuru’s development record as the reason why they jumped ship.
"The Jubilee administration has appointed our sons and daughters to senior positions, the recent being the appointment of Education CS Fred Matiangi as the acting Interior CS after the sudden demise of Joseph Nkaissery." He said.
Kisii Jubilee woman representative aspirant Dorice Aburi and Antony Kibagendi, who lost in Kitutu Chache South ODM primaries were also present in the function.
"You have made a bold move which will see the head of state score more votes come August 8," Sakaja said.
