Kabogo Accuses Deputy President William Ruto of Sabotaging His Future Political Aspirations
Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo has once again accused Deputy President William Ruto of sabotaging his future political aspirations.
Kabogo said that the Deputy President was now using his rival in the Kiambu Governor race, Ferdinand Waititu to try and stop his political ambitions on fears that he was a threat to his 2022 presidential ambitions.
Kabogo hinted at contesting for the country’s top seat in the 2022 general elections, adding that the Mt Kenya region will not be forced to vote for anyone with no track record.
"I had said it a while back and I will say it again. My main aim is to make the lives of Kenyans better but I am being fought by those who want to be President in 2022." He said.
The governor added that he will not play second fiddle to anyone, saying that he (Ruto) can also be his deputy in the 2022 polls.
"We will not elect anyone in 2022 unless we see the work done. I am not going to deputize anyone. He can also be my deputy," he added.
Kabogo further dismissed the six -piece voting pattern advocated by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy in their recent tour to Kiambu County, adding that it will cost Jubilee.
"Ruto has spoiled for President Uhuru Kenyatta by urging residents to only vote for the party's nominees."
