Joho Vows to Expose President Uhuru's 'Lies' During MV Ferry Launch in Mombasa
Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho has vowed to expose lies told by President Uhuru Kenyatta during the launching of the MV Jambo ferry in Mombasa, on June 27.
Although Joho said he will not be attending the launch, he said that he will hold a parallel event in Kisauni, Mombasa County where he will reply to "the lies that President Uhuru will be telling Likoni residents".
"I will put my person there who will be streaming live and will be able to capture what Uhuru says," Joho told journalists on Friday.
"They can decide who ever will attend or be blocked. But they won't see me there. I will hold a political rally in Kisauni and Mombasa and will be told the truth," he added.
The Mombasa county boss was blocked from attending two public events graced by the President. Joho was barred by GSU from attending the launch of Mtongwe crossing channel early this year, after a series of war of words with the head of state.
Last month, in a similar way, the governor was blocked by GSU officer when he tried to access the venue of the launch of the Standard Gauge Railway at Miritinini in Mombasa.
