Raila Accuses Jubilee of Stealing Kibaki's Projects, Says SGR was Retired President's Brainchild
National super alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga says that the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) that Jubilee claims to be their poster project was a brainchild of former President Mwai Kibaki.
The former primer Minister accused president Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee administration of riding on the grand coalition government projects, adding that they (Jubilee) have accomplished nothing new since taking power in 2013.
He accused President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration of failing to provide practical solutions to a myriad of problems that are facing Kenyans today.
"Jubilee has done nothing. They are just taking credit for the projects done by the Grand Coalition government," Raila said.
The Orange Democratic Leader further accused the head of state of perfecting the art of political treachery and using life-changing projects initiated by the Grand Coalition government in which he served as Prime Minister to take credit.
He cited the newly-built SGR project from Mombasa to Nairobi as the brainchild of retired President Mwai Kibaki’s regime, asking Jubilee to stop using the project as their accomplishment.
Odinga was speaking when he met a delegation of Pokot County professionals at Orange House, where he also accused Jubilee of sidelining certain communities in the country.
He welcomed Pokot Women Representative Regina Nyeris and Sigor MP Phillip Rotino, who joined ODM from Jubilee after losing in the Jubilee primaries.
"I have the solution to the problems facing this country. Jubilee has perfected nepotism, not just tribalism," the opposition chief said. "It is unfortunate that decades after Independence, Pokots are ravaged by hunger and banditry," he added.
